EOS had grown at a very rapid scale globally over the last 5 years to become a market leader in IT Supply chain, AV Installation and International Deployment. They had invested heavily in Salesforce and were embarking on a project to create a Salesforce Community portal.
The requirement was for a robust enterprise integration solution to connect their new Salesforce Community portal to their ERP, SAGE X3. They selected MuleSoft as their Integration platform of choice and required a strong partner with both MuleSoft and Salesforce expertise.
We scoped the full engagement during a detailed discovery and set out a plan of seven key phases.
We identified lack of documentation on existing Salesforce and Sage X3 systems and focussed its efforts on documenting the business processes first.
Our team followed a Three Tier architectural approach to provide an API network covering all objects requiring integration between the two systems.
We created an automated error logging system connected to Jira, logging all data discrepancies between Salesforce and Sage X3 for manual intervention.
Our team built 11 highly complex APIs following ThirdEye best practice and deployed in production. We also supported a number of 3rd parties through Programme Management with additional advice and validation around Salesforce streams of work.
Sage X3 and Salesforce are fully integrated in real time, and allow customers to ask for a quote, query new products and get an invoice directly from the same portal. The multi-directional integration is fully documented alongside the related business processes.
