A custom Salesforce solution becoming the operational brain of a vertical farm, delivering full utilisation visibility for the first time.
Harvest London is an innovative Vertical Farming company who are building Europe’s largest Vertical Farm. They needed a solution that was both flexible and scalable to become the brain of their farm. Salesforce was their chosen platform.
Harvest needed to track a large number of different factors e.g. how seed types and seed density impacts the output of a pod. They also needed to ensure that they could track capacity and ability to meet existing and new orders, and plan their daily activities to ensure on-time deliveries.
We designed the data model to capture the physical structure of the racks and trays mapped to different environments.
Our team built the data model around managing the inputs that go into a crop, specifically the seed types, growth recipes and ideal environments.
Next up was a capacity engine that could plan grow batches for specific deliveries, and work backwards to find key milestone dates for the growth cycle and reserve capacity for the plants at those stages.
We then implemented MuleSoft as a composable, scalable and future-proof integration solution.

The integration of Salesforce and MuleSoft has enabled the creation of Europe's largest vertical farm. The ThirdEye solution now acts as the brain of the entire farm, that will be productised for use by other vertical farms. Custom Farm Capacity and Usage Functionality allows Harvest to see utilisation of the farm for the first time.
